Captain George Todd studied philosophy and liberal arts at a Quaker college in Pennsylvania. Upon graduation he served 5 years active duty as an officer in the Navy where he was a pilot and a staff officer. His first sailing experience was a two year voyage from Hong Kong westabout via Borneo, Suez, the Med and West Indies to the U.S. Then, knowing he belonged to the salt sea, he set about building a business and designing and building the Mallory Todd to be his future home. Someday retirement will call him to again sail the seven seas. Until then he will enjoy chartering with the help of his many "sons" that graduate to their own ships.
