Friday Harbor, San Juan Island

Sail the San Juan Islands

Clear deep waters, persistent sunshine, the intriguing mixture of warm stone viewing points, moss, delightful evergreen forests, ubiquitous beaches, good light winds, charming small ports, and good fellowship from other boaters as well as local citizens.

The San Juan Islands have long attracted boaters from around the Northwest and farther afield. Yet this uniquely beautiful island chain can be reached in a pleasant day's sailing from Seattle. Or join us at Anacortes for an even shorter hop to the islands.

The beauty of the San Juans are best experienced with a multi-day charter. Call Friday Harbor your home port and sail around San Juan Island. Explore the coves and remote coast of Lopez Island. Or anchor off smaller uninhabited islands and row ashore. Stay on the boat or sleep by a campfire on the beach, surrounded by remote, unspoiled wilderness, yet just minutes from the luxuries of your classic schooner.

All of our charters are crewed by a Coast Guard licensed captain intimately familiar with these waters. Skilled crew sail the boat and take care of all of your needs. Guests are welcome to help sail, and even take the helm. Or just site back and enjoy the view and the fresh sea air. The captain will be happy to loan you binoculars for watching bald eagles soar along the coast, or maybe for a glimpse of theisland's famous whale pods.
